Sarah Johnson

Company Director & Physiotherapist

Sarah directs and drives the company forward. She leads the organisation and ensures the company has the skills, workforce and ongoing commitment to deliver a quality service to customers. She develops services for the clinic, manages the company contracts and strives to deliver only the best with the support and hard work provided by her team.

Sarah’s passion remains her patients. She is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist primarily with a special interest in backs & necks, pilates & obstetric physiotherapy. Naturally this has also thrown her into the world of Women’s Health and she know treats many pelvic health disorders.

Sarah not only teaches pilates to her clients, she also trains physiotherapists & healthcare professionals on how to teach matwork and equipment pilates. Sarah’s pilates experience and clinic facilities have been recognised and the clinic is now a national training centre for APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute). Members and students have the opportunity to train and gain experience at The Physiotherapy Centre.  Sarah is also an international presenter for APPI on many of their pilates courses.

Richard Norris

Cofounder & Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Specialist

Richard has a special interest in lower limb injuries having retired from professional football with a knee injury himself. Richard divides his time between the clinic and the NHS, where he works as a lower limb clinical specialist. As part of his daily role, Richard assesses patients alongside orthopaedic consultants and oversees the rehabilitation of complex problems. He is a highly regarded extended scope practitioner.

Affectionately referred to as the ‘lower limb guru’ at the clinic, Richard is known for his evidence based approach to physiotherapy. Richard runs weekly lower limb clinics, treats complex presentations, trains and supports clinical staff, audits clinical information and offers advanced treatments such as injection therapy. He has also wrote his own knee course that he presents to physiotherapists and other health professionals including Medical Doctors and Nursing Staff on a regular basis. He is also the co founder of ‘The Knee Resource’ website, an information based website for health professionals and patients internationally.

Sarah Hill

Practice Manager

Sarah oozes fantastic customer service and is dedicated to providing a positive customer experience from the first point of contact. Sarah will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door and she is a valued member of the team.


Sam Dixon


Sam is a full time member of staff at the clinic and is lead clinician for our new Crosby location. Sam has numerous clinics every week and teaches regular exercise groups including matwork and pilates equipment at the clinic.

Sam also has a special interest in treating running injuries and has attended post graduate training in this area. He helps deliver the lower limb injury service we provide by performing and overseeing many of the treadmill based assessments at the clinic. Sam is committed to his role and is a valued member of the team.


Catriona Monkhouse


    Cat is a part time physio at the clinic and works in our busy Women’s Health Department and musculoskeletal clinics.

    Cat also teaches our matwork and equipment pilates classes and has extensive matwork training with Stott Pilate.

    Cat has a huge class following! and her role is also largely involved in continuing to develop the pelvic health services at the Mossley Hill clinic including the post Partum women’s health checks.

Gary Dobson


Gary works at the clinic on a Tuesday evening and Saturday. He also works full time in the NHS where he was spotted by Richard one of the clinic cofounders who was keen to offer his clinical & people skills at the clinic. Gary is a fantastic musculoskeletal physiotherapist with specialist skills in treating spinal complaints. He oozes with enthusiasm and energy.


Jenni Calcraft

Jenni teaches regular weekly pilates classes at The Physiotherapy Centre. She is also a valued member of our Women’s Health Department delivering antenatal classes to customers. Jenni is also training in equipment based pilates so she can teach extra classes as our timetable continues to grow.


Harriet Yale


Harriet is currently a full time member of staff at the clinic and works in our Women’s Health Department delivering our postnatal classes and Mummy MOTs. Harriet also runs pilates group sessions and equipment classes at the clinic.

She has fantastic clinical skills and always has a smile on her face.


Helen Stiffin

Helen is an experienced Body Control Pilates Teacher. She teaches classes at the clinic every Friday morning and has a loyal following of clients who have attended her class for years. She is simply fantastic at what she does!


Dalbinder Baines

Dalbinder is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist and Medical Herbalist. Good nutrition plays a major role in promoting health and preventing disease. Nutrition also plays a vital role in injury recovery. Dalbinder runs regular nutrition based workshops from the clinic for our clients. She also consults with clients on a 1-1 or small group basis and also has valuable input into our ‘Lose Weight Feel Great’ programme. We are honoured to be able to work with Dalbinder and allow our clients to tap into her services.
